Wedded Bliss
Selina’s wedding to her Marine, Brian, was Saturday and it was beautiful. The morning was a complete downpour, but it stopped long enough to allow them to say their vows and by the end of the reception, the sun was shining! There were a lot of old friends there so it was not only nice to be present for the wedding but to catch up with them, too. The ceremony was a handfasting ritual and it was really beautiful. It was led by a local priestess who had the guest form a loose circle around the altar and Selina and Brian. We all held hands and she led us in the opening of the circle. The ritual itself was full of humor, which was completely perfect for them. Their hands were bound and the ritual ended with the opening of the circle again. But forget all that! It was the first time in all the years that I have known her that I have EVER seen Selina in a dress! So NOT the girlie type, but she was beautiful!! A few pictures, all clickable for larger views!
