1.  What is the nearest book to you?  Your Kindle does not count.

My Kindle counts but…

2.  When was the last time you took a “me” vacation?

I went back to New York a few years ago to meet/see my niece for a week and a half.

3.  How many telephone numbers do you have?

Just my cell number. I haven’t had a landline in a long time.

4.  If you could fix one thing in the public school system, what is the one thing you would do immediately?

Teach critical race theory. Provide teachers with better funding for the classroom.

5.  What’s your favorite Olympic event?

In the summer, surfing or skateboarding. In the winter, hockey and snowboarding.

6.  Do you watch the Olympics?

Not regularly, except for the hockey. That I will get up in the middle of the night for!

7.  Who is your favorite sports team player?

I have a few, all NHL players.

  • Henrik Lundqvist, goalie for formerly the New York Rangers (my team), now the Washington Capitals.
  • Marc-André Fleury, goalie for formerly the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights, now the Chicago Blackhawks.
  • Mika Zibanejad, center for formerly the Ottawa Senators, now the New York Rangers

8.  If you could travel in a spaceship to any planet, which planet would you like to visit and why?

Why just one? I’d make a planet tour of it.

9.  When was the last time you sat in a church?

My dad’s funeral six years ago.

10.  Are there any aspects of blogging that annoy you?

It’s become a lot more cliquey than it once was.

11. Have you ever gone to a party and snooped in the medicine cabinet?

Not that I recall!

12.Do you watch reality TV?

Only the talent type shows, cooking shows, that kind of thing.

13.  How many people can you call who have known you since you were in school?

Lots of them. I’m still friends with many of them.

14. Who, when, and where was your first kiss?

Oh, boy. His name was Rob. It was eighth grade. And it was behind the high school. He was a bus kid, and I was a walker. I lived a block from the high school, the middle school across the fields beyond it. By the time I walked from midde school to the high school, his bus was usually there to pick up the older kids. It was habit for him to get off the bus to talk to me until the bus was ready to roll. One day, he just leaned over and kissed me before getting back on the bus.

15. You just got thrown out of your country.  Where do you want to become a citizen?

Ireland, Iceland, or Sweden. I’m teaching myself Swedish, so there’s that!

  1. I am trying to relearn Spanish by asking Alexa the Spanish name for things throughout the day. Just something to keep my mind going. I hadn’t thought about the blog world being cliquish, but you’re right. It is.

  2. I like your answer about reality TV. I never know what’s a reality show or why. I mean, I get that the Real Housewives are. But what about the competition shows? Why aren’t they game shows? I’m sure there’s a reason, I just don’t know it.

  3. ooo sweedish is hard… loved your first kiss story, and hockey girl! When I lived in Canada it was ALL about hockey. I was from Florida at the time so it was all new to me

  4. Hi Kim, that is nice that you are still friends with some of your classmates. I really like the old days of blogging. It was more of a close community that cared. Not politics, and more unity. Looks like we may be heading to Oahu in the spring. We couldn’t enjoy the beach at the North Shore last time because beaches were closed do to high surf(end of November) though we did get to go to Waimea Falls.

  5. Better funding for the classrooms would be great!
I hope you do Tuesday 4 tomorrow. #1 is What have you been reading lately. Loved your answers! Have a nice day!
