1. Lyft and Uber’s support
Both companies have vowed to cover any and all legal fees for any of their drivers who may be sued under the new Texas anti-abortion/anti-woman law. In addition, Lyft is donating $1 million to Planned Parenthood “to ensure that transportation is never a barrier to healthcare access.”

2. Bumble and Match’s support
Mentioned in the same article is that Texas-based Bumble is creating a fund to support reproductive rights and to assist those seeking abortions within the state. The CEO of Match, which owns Tinder and is also based in Texas, is creating a fund to help employees and their dependents who are affected by this law.
3. TikTok for the win!
Yesterday, TikTok activists turned their influencer power to good, flooding the “whistleblower” site created by Texas Right to Life. The site was created to allow people to report on potential violations. One TikToker even created a bot to spam the site with faked tips, one every 10 seconds or so. His IP was blocked but not before he got about 300 reports submitted. So he created an iOS shortcut for submitting similar reports. Almost 5000 people, as of this afternoon have used it. Including me.

4. Rick Rolling the whistleblower site
Another big trend… Rick Rolling the same site using the website ProChoiceTrolls.com, which does indeed to Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. Yes, please.
5. GoDaddy trashes the whistleblower site.
Last night, GoDaddy sent a TOS violation letter to the organization and gave them 24 hours to move the site. GoDaddy has already shut down the part of the site where one submits tips.

6. a TRO by Planned Parenthood
PP was granted a temporary restraining order against Texas Right to Life. The order prevents the organization and their agents to sue PP providers and healthcare workers under Senate Bill 8. The way the bill is worded is unusual, bypassing the state from enforcing the abortion ban and putting enforcement in the hands of private citizens to bring lawsuits against anyone who aids, abets, or gets an abortion. Hence the website. The TRO doesn’t fully protect PP, though, as private citizens can still sue them.

It is a crazy law! Just when Texas was making progress ( generously allowing us two extra hours on Sundays to purchase beer and alcohol), they turn the abortion laws on their ears! I don’t like to tell what side of that debate I land on because that decision is mine. No one else should be able to tell me what I can or cannot do. That is between me and my creator. I honestly believe that government should have no say whatsoever in reproductive issues.
What’s happening in Republican states is nothing less than criminal. They are showing their KKK asses and fascist faces to the world.
