1. What’s a good song with a bad title?
Of course, it depends on your interpretation of “bad,” but this is my choice. The title is just… ungainly. “You Think I Ain’t Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire” by Queens of the Stone Age.
2. Who is named strangely, among musicians or bands you like?
Crispy Ambulance, a British punk band, meets that requirement for sure…
Honorable mentions that are not necessarily bands I like… just funny:
- Toad the Wet Sprocket: alternative
- The Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins: bluegrass
- Let’s Eat Grandma: alternative
- Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard: doom metal
- The Birds Are Spies, They Report To The Trees: Emo core
3. What are some album titles you like?
Some favorites:
- Ala Mai by Shepherds Reign
- Ride the Lightning by Metallica
- Steal This Album! by System of a Down
4. Often, greatest hits compilations are simply called Greatest Hits or The Best of, but sometimes they’re titled more creatively and appropriately for the artist, as with Bob Marley & the Wailers’ Legend, Madonna’s The Immaculate Collection, or 1 by the Beatles (a collection of number one hits). If you were to collect all your favorite songs by one of your favorite artists, how would you title the compilation?
Oh, this one is hard. Maybe Moods by Metallica. Maybe it’s a me thing, but Metallica is grounding for me.
5. Among bands you like, who has a great name?
Black Casino and the Ghost is a great band name. I love this song, too.
A classic favorite is Godsmack, and here’s a song from them…
