1. What symptoms indicate you need some me-time?

Needing me-time and wanting it are two different things. As for needing it… when the dystopian BS of the world gets to me to the point where I’m spiraling or doom-scrolling, it’s time for some me-time to reset myself. I try to consistently give myself me-time, though, even when I don’t need it.

2. When did you most recently have to plan ahead for me-time?

I don’t really plan ahead for it. If I need it, I take it. A few hours early on Saturday mornings are typical me-time, though.

3. What is likeliest to interrupt your me-time?

My husband. But not often.

4. When someone says me-time, what do you immediately think of?

I don’t really think of any one thing. I think me-time looks different for everyone, and can look different at various moments. My usual me-time is a bath and face masks and a good book. But sometimes me-time is going off by myself to the coffee shop and reading, then the beach and maybe lunch out by myself. It really just depends on the moment.

5. How will you take some me-time this weekend?

My usual Saturday morning at least.
