1. Under what circumstances might you deliberately fail at a task you were perfectly capable of completing?
Maybe if the fallout from completing it wasn’t worth it.
2. Under what circumstances might you choose to completely cut off contact with a family member you currently love and respect?
Oof. If certain family members were still alive, I’m pretty sure this would have happened. But I also posit that cutting off a family member wouldn’t be necessary if the respect really was there. You can love a family member without having respect for them. I daresay a fundamental difference in values would have caused that cut-off for me, while I still would have loved them. But I can’t have respect for someone who doesn’t value human beings of all diverse types.
3. Under what circumstances might you willingly give up every piece of modern technology you own and move to an off-grid location?
There are days when that is very appealing. To just be cut off from the BS seems lovely.
4. Under what circumstances might you leave your job to take work paying half as much?
If I hated my work, my workplace. Sometimes the money just ain’t worth the headache.
5. Under what circumstances might you agree to live the rest of your life without ever using spoken language again?
It would have to be extreme, like to save the life of someone I love. Although, I can’t see a situation where this would be a thing.
