1. What are you learning these days?
To give myself patience and grace, to take care of myself and give myself importance. The last few months drove that lesson home. I struggle with how much I’ve had to depend on my kids and my husband. So there’s that.
Also, I’m trying to decide on a new language to learn.
2. What’s been energizing you lately?
This is a tough one. Physically? Not a whole helluva lot, thanks to my ongoing health issues. Mentally? Reading some great books.
3. What are you reading?
My kind of question! I read multiple books at a time, and I read a lot! Storm Warning by Mercedes Lackey (fantasy), Dangerous Ground by M. William Phelps (true crime), Violet Thistlewaite Is Not a Villain Anymore by Emily Krempholtz (historical magical realism=meets-romantasy).
4. What’s the best thing you ate recently?
Ube krinkle cookies. I mean, anything at all ube is amazing.
5. What are you doing differently today from a year ago?
New morning routines, more intentional self-care, spending too much time in doctors’ offices and the hospital.

Violet Thistlewaite Is Not a Villain Anymore sounds like it’s a great book. I’ll add it to my TBR – thank you!
