Ick… I just ran across a highly transphobic response to a question of a meme that I used to do on Wednesday. I thought I’d hop in and do it again, but no. I’ve discovered, like much of the interactive blogging world, it’s one largely populated by people who have very different views on the world than I do. I’ve got no time or patience for that kind of BS.
I will never understand the hate that makes someone so willing to dictate how others should live. And it is hate, whether fueled by religion or faith or anything else. Every now and then, I get some who tries to proselytize to me, using disparaging (and often disgusting) messages of “faith.” And they never understand why that pushes me even farther away from what they’re selling me.
Even on a lesser level, it’s kind of like that meme going around… “‘I stay out of politics’ is such a weird way to spell ‘my rights as a human being aren’t up in the air every four years, and I have no problem with the fact that yours are.'” I just don’t understand that attitude.
